Wisents in the Kraanvlak, viewpoint near Overveen

I see something browninsh in the forest, they are still here at 15:00 h !!!!!

At the gravel road fence North of the lake

Location of the wisents between 12:00 h and 18:00 h. At 15:50 h they finally cross the gravel road.

Another “bison hunt”, not inside the gated area but at the “wisentenuitkijkpunt” near Overveen, see Google Maps link. We visit this area three times a week over the last 6 weeks, with spectacular results, see e.g. :

We go to the fence closing off the gravel road and there they are, in the forest. We keep low and quiet, not to disturb them.

We hope they will go to the lake for drinks crossing the gravel road. The grass is already relatively long in the sheltered open forest, some sprouts are 10 cm. This explains why they are grazing here.

Warden is driving along the road. The wisents are waiting for him to leave, so they can go to the lake, for Drinks!

After the warden clears the road, they finally cross the gravel road and are heading for the lake. One year old calf.
